The people giving Zingotel a high rating must be spamers from Zingotel. The place is a total ripoff!!! I cancelled the service and they kept billing me!! Everytime I contaced Customer Service they told me they would send me my money . . . six months and no money. Don't sign up!!!

We have had Zingotel for over a year now. It works most of the time and generally call quality is pretty good. But occassionally it is terrible where you hear echoing. Over the last year and 4 or 5 months the phone service has been down a half dozen times for 1 or 2 days. On several occasions I have had service people from India call me in the middle of the night about service and they didn't seem to get I was on the other side of the globe. I also paid for a second phone number with a local that often does not work the way it is supposed to, where callers just go straight to the internet based voicemail. I am still with Zingotel though, mainly because of the price, and most of the time it works.

Terrible company with awful reliability and customer service that is even worse. Made the mistake of porting my POTS line to this provider and it took over 4 months for them to release the ported number.

This service rocks!!! Who else will provide you with a free VOIP adapter - zingotel does. Try walking in to your local BestBuy or FutureShop, you'll end up paying over $80 just for the router/voip device. These guys will ship it to you for free, on top of that, you get a local number in any city throughout canada (or US). I'm from Edmonton now here in Vancouver, I even got an Edmonton number so that my friends can call me on a local number - how sweet is that? Last time I checked, why cell phone plan was charging me extra for all add-on features like voicemail and stuff. With these guys, everything is included. Compared to the digital phone stuff they offer here, this service beats everyone hands down in price. I got friends set up with this company in Europe and because of free in-network calling, all calls are free. Don't replace your home phone, use this as an add-on for long distance

Excellent service on the business side. We set up an asterisk based system with a company called MirrorPort in Toronto and have our service set up with ZingoTel. For under $50 a month, we can make up to 8 simultaneous callss at the same time, voicemail and all features included and more. We even set up an 800 number for under $5 a month - awesome deal!

After 5 weeks of requesting a billing correction Zingotel still has not been able to generate the correction and it looks like I did not pay the bill on time. The worst customer service ever.
Otherwise the call quality is acceptable and the price comparable with the rest of them.
Unsolicited call blocking is not available and it would be useful.

The worst customer service experience. An absolutely horrible answering system - (It will state you are caller No 3 and 5 minutes wait time and then take anywhere between 15 - 25 minutes to connect (if at all - I have had a message twice after a 30 min wait saying sorry we are busy!!!))
Despite low rates I will not recommend - I have shifted to AT&T for my business. Residential to follow

Poor service. calls constantly get dropped, I cant dial local calls 50% of the time. I can't dial 1-800 numbers. The customer service line is a recording that nobody ever is there and you cant leave a message because the voice mail is always full. THIS COPMPANY STINKS!!! As soon as I can get a live peson on the phone I am dropping them and going to Vonage

I have been using Zingotel for approximately three months now and I have been rather pleased with the results.

Call quality is fairly good, and I have not had a call drop out or any echoing, even when I call overseas or make call to cell phones.

I haven't had to contact Zingotel's customer service yet so I cannot comment on them. But they do have multiple contact methods so getting issues resolved should be a breeze.

I am using their business unlimited plan, btw.

Just $19.95 per month for an unlimited number of calls within the states. Just simple and affordable.

I highly recommend Zingotel.

I make alot of international calls so using Zingotel as my residential voip service just made sense. Their international call rates are significantly lower than those traditional phone companies.

I also liked that fact that they gave me the equipment I needed to make my normal home phone work with thier voip network for FREE!

Setting it all up was really easy and with free voicemail and call return I never miss any calls anymore.

Call quality is good most of the time, although this is one area where I am not as pleased with Zingotel as I could be. I am sure this will improve in future.

Overall, I am pretty happy with using Zingotel as my one and only home phone line.
